Gender Pay Gap - Message from Professor Sheona MacLeod
Professor Dame Jane Dacre is leading a review to investigate the gender pay gap in medicine on behalf of the DHSC. The research is headed by Professor Carol Woodhams from Surrey Business School. The review team is collecting quantitative data from a wide range of sources, from doctors via in-depth interviews, and along with a large on-line survey of a randomised and anonymised sample of doctors on the GMC register. The links to the survey are being sent out this week and will expire four weeks after receipt of the survey link. If you or your colleagues are asked to complete the survey, please encourage them to take part in this important and valuable research.
The evidence gathered will go on to produce a series of implementable recommendations that help close the gender pay gap in medicine.
