This course covers most of the areas of interest and concerns that we all have/had in our role as a Clinical Tutor/DME/FPD. It is very practically focused; all examples used are every day challenges faced in the complex world of postgraduate medical education. The course is also be very relevant to those who have been in post for sometime as it focuses on the leadership aspect of the role which is essential for the increasing “business” of PGME.
The course focuses on 3 main areas:
- Personal Leadership Skills (influencing & leading in times of change)
- Educational issues (clarification of terms we all use eg. portfolio, appraisal, quality etc)
- Managing self/colleagues/trainees & staff.
The course is interactive and fun and has received excellent evaluation.
