CorBLIME - Core Basics for Leadership in Medical Education
This course aims to support new members with the required knowledge and personal leadership skills required to champion medical education within their programme/organisation. Topics include leadership styles, power & influence, PGME organisation & funding, personal tips for time, stress & conflict management, managing the education centre and staff, educational principles and theory, and quality control of training.

 The course focuses on 3 main areas:

- Personal Leadership Skills (influencing & leading in times of change)
- Educational issues (clarification of terms we all use eg. portfolio, appraisal, quality etc)
- Managing self/colleagues/trainees & staff.

The course is interactive and fun and has received excellent evaluation.

MorBLIME - More Basics for Leadership in Medical Education.
This course builds on the Core Leadership Skills covered for new members in the successful BLIME and is aimed at Tutors/DMEs/FPDs WHO HAVE BEEN IN POST FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS WITHOUT FIRST TAKING CorBLIME (If CorBLIME has been attended you may attend MorBLIME after TWO years). Topics will include Becoming Strategic, Supporting & developing your faculty, Business & financial planning, Educational appraisal & performance management, Working across the interfaces with Undergrad & Multiprof, personal leadership skills and coaching techniques.
